ZENTANGLE
Zentangle is a method of drawing that follows 8 basic steps. It uses structured patterns (tangles) to create beautiful images. Zentangle art is non-representational and tangles are easy to learn because they are taught step by step. As you begin to create something unexpected and beautiful using the method of Zentangle, you will discover new skills and abilities, wake up your imagination, access a state of relaxed focus, and enjoy a sense of calm and gratitude.

In this 2-hour class, you will learn the basics of Zentangle including the history, philosophy, and terminology from a
Certified Zentangle Teacher. No drawing experience is needed. You will learn 5-8 foundational “tangles” creating two
unique tiles. Everything you need will be provided for you in your own Zentangle Mini Kit (additional fee). Once the
class is complete, you can take your Mini Kit home and continue your Zentangle journey. Please note, Zentangle 101:
The Basics is a pre-requisite for all other Zentangle classes.

Materials Fee: $15 cash paid in class
In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class, and you will expand your tangle pattern library. The focus of this class will be strings and mono tangles. Students will use, regular tiles, bijou tiles, and 3z tiles. Please bring your Zentangle mini-kit from Zentangle 101: Basics Class, and all other materials will be provided. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.
2hrs – $40
Zentangle “Black” Mini Kit Fee: $15 cash paid in class
In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class but instead of using white tiles, black pens, and graphite, you will be using black tiles, white pens, and white charcoal chalk. This class will expand your tangle pattern library. Everything you need will be provided for you in your own Zentangle “Black” Mini Kit (additional fee). Once the class is complete, you can take your Mini Kit home and continue your Zentangle journey. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.

Zentangle “Tan” Mini Kit Fee: $15 cash paid in class
In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class using tan tiles, brown/sepia pens, graphite, and white charcoal. This class will expand your tangle pattern library, and you will learn shading techniques and fun enhancements. Everything you need will be provided for you in your own Zentangle “Renaissance” Mini Kit (additional fee). Once the class is complete, you can take your mini kit home and continue your Zentangle journey. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.

Zentangle “Gray” Mini Kit Fee: $15 cash paid in class
In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class using gray tiles, blue pens, and white and blue charcoal. This class will expand your tangle pattern library, and you will learn shading techniques and fun enhancements. Everything you need will be provided for you in your own Zentangle “Gray” Mini Kit. Once the class is complete, you can take your Mini Kit home and continue your Zentangle journey. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.

In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class, and you will expand your tangle pattern library. The focus of this class will be tangling pre-strung Zendalas. The colour of the Zendala tile can be decided at time of booking. Please bring your Zentangle Mini-Kits from previous classes depending on tile colour, and all other materials will be provided. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.

In this 2-hour class, you will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class. The focus of this class will be using a stencil to create a string on a 10×10 tile. You will expand your tangle pattern library and learn shading techniques and fun enhancements. Please bring your Zentangle mini-kit from Zentangle 101: Basics Class, and all other materials will be provided. Zentangle 101: The Basics is a pre-requisite for this class.
2hrs – $40
Materials Fee: $15 cash paid in class
In this 2-hour class, you will learn a quick, simple and easy way to create a watercolored background on your tile. You will build on your skills and experience from the Zentangle 101: Basics Class. The focus of this class will explore using the tangle Dreamcatcher as a reticulum (a grid we draw within). You will learn various tangles and fragments (the small patterns we fill the grids with) to create one beautiful and unique tile. Please bring your Zentangle mini-kit from Zentangle 101: Basics Class, and all other materials will be provided.
