In the 4 hour course you will learn the basic techniques in making metal clay pendants. You will learn how to texture surfaces with various techniques and you will also make your own molds for your pendants. At the end of the class you will have 2 pieces ready to take home. You will have the choice of using copper, bronze or white bronze during the class.

We will send you a kit first, to make the mold of your child’s fingerprints, which you will then bring to the class. Transfer your favorite dry organic matter like shells, leaves, flowers, etc to pure copper wearable jewelery using plating techniques. Without making molds or using casting techniques learn how to make cast-like jewelery.

Create your own pieces of jewelry – We will teach you the basics of traditional metalsmithing.

Learn sawing, drilling, filing, annealing, forming, soldering, milling and forging on different surfaces and learn to combine the learned skills to construct your design.

Would you ever believe you could use a pasta machine to make polymer clay beads, or extrude thin spaghetti shapes to decorate beads.  In the Soigne Polymer Magic Course that’s exactly what you will do.  During the course you will make 4 different kind of beautiful beads in various sizes. We will be using a Millefiori [The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers)] technique for all the beads. During the course you can either spend the entire three hours making your beads, or spend time making beads and then building your own necklace with them.

During Cozy Felt Lab you will learn both dry and wet method in felting.  You will make  poncho using lattice method with your choice of design and colors . Making shawl as a second piece you will discover how to mix silky chiffons with felt and yearn using laminated method. Make felt with drape and fluidity. Discover the limitless design possibilities of nuno felting, a technique in which one felts into a previously established fabric. In this class you’ll start with a plain silk background as your “canvas” and transform it using  wool fiber and non-felting materials such as fabric pieces, yarns, ribbons and fibers for a collage effect.

During the course you will be lead through basic of soldering using hot iron and led free solder. Technique is based on stained glass course meaning you will discover basic stain glass process including straight glass cutting, using copper tape, solder, flux, and aging techniques using black patina.

You will be provided with detailed handouts with pictures, and all the info where to buy fordable supplies and set up your own studio at home. All the supplies during the course are provided. You can bring your photographs if you want to use them for your pendants other wise you can use pictures from my personal gallery.
