ELECTROFORMING

Electroforming is a plating process in which metal ions in a solution are moved by an electric field to coat an electrode. The process uses electrical current to reduce cations of a desired material from a solution and coat a conductive object with a thin layer of the material, such as a metal.

Images below are done based on organic plants, in the class we will use Crystals ( you can bring your own Crystals and Stones but please research if they can be electroformed as i am not a stone expert)

In the first session you will prepare pieces and use magnetic paint to cover them in order to be electroformed.  We will start the electroforming  process in the first session. As you return for the second session  cleaning and trouble shooting will be covered in the second session. Please bring a small usb drive if you would like to take an instructional video home.
