Havfelting processes using dry e you ever wondered how Felt was made and what it was made of? Soigne is now offering felting classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, using several techniques. Soigne will teach you several and wet methods. Exploring the characteristics of beautiful natural wools you will make ponchos, shawls, beads, hats…lots of fun with endless possibilities.

During Cozy Felt Lab you will learn both dry and wet method in felting. You will make poncho using lattice method with your choice of design and colors . Making shawl as a second piece you will discover how to mix silky chiffons with felt and yearn using laminated method. Make felt with drape and fluidity. Discover the limitless design possibilities of nuno felting, a technique in which one felts into a previously established fabric. In this class you’ll start with a plain silk background as your “canvas” and transform it using wool fiber and non-felting materials such as fabric pieces, yarns, ribbons and fibers for a collage effect.

During this Jewelry Lab you will learn both dry and wet methods in felting. Learn innovative felting techniques to make uniquely shaped beads, cords, necklaces, earrings, brooches, bracelets, and bangles. Create individual jewelry pieces, body adornments and fashion accessories using wool and other fibers and incorporate natural and found objects. Explore the wondrous possibilities of free-form and sculptural treasures. This class is suitable for both beginners and experienced felt makers.
